For the next 365 days I will take a picture of myself. Each day/picture will have a part of my body in it. I am looking forward to this challenge and being able to see myself and body in a new light. I am hoping for grow as an artist and a person.

I paint self-portraits because I am the person I know best. -Frida Kahlo

  3. Thank you! I am looking forward to stretching myself further with this challenge each week!

The inspiration for this one is The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer, Meg. Each week I am going to do an imitation of great art :)

  8. <3 Thank you all so much! I am so very happy that you all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Grow, I just used what I had around the house for the lighting. I stood in the darkened hallway and used the diffused light from the bathroom to light myself. As far as post processing, I used a little photoshop to give it the painted effect. :)

Madonna, ditto to you my sweet friend!

Jess, the blue piece of my head wrap is a silk belly dance veil I had dyed last year (and just happened to be the perfect color) and the brown part is a skirt haha.
